Keep Or Skip is temporary hosted on the Sudden Rainbow project's web site due to bandwidth problems with Blue Pixy Software website. Keep or Skip is a game with no GUI developed for the Create Mac Games "Blind Contest". This game requires Mac OS X 10.3 or higher. During the game, you'll listen to a short clip of a randomly selected track from your iTunes library. The clip is divided into pieces which are mixed up. The game's aim is to reconstruct the correct sequence. Before listening to a clip, you can choose to skip one track. You can't skip more than four tracks in one game. If you make five mistakes selecting the sequences, the game is over and you lose. You can play to beat your personal high score and you can also send your score to the world-wide database from the game. You can also listen to the world-wide top ten from the game. When the voice asks you to select a command, you can type the first letter of the command on the keyboard or, if you have a compatible microphone, say the command using the Mac OS X built-in Speech Recognition system. In this case you have to press the "esc" key, or the key you selected in the system preferences, before saying the command. Rich use of Apple technologies: * Play with your iTunes library. * Use QuickTime for playing the audio clips. * Output uses the Speech Synthesis system. * You can enter the commands using your voice thanks to the Speech Recognition system (you must have a compatible microphone for this feature). World-wide high score * Enter you score from the game. * Listen to the top ten from the game.

Feedback You can reach the developer at ludo@bluepixysw.com. F. A. Q. I don't have a microphone. Can I play? Sure, you can use the keyboard. That's easy, man. I delete almost all my iTunes library and I leave only one song. So the song selected is always the same, isn't it? The score you get is also based on the number of tracks you have in your library. No problem: I delete the whole library, then I import the same song one million times... Yes, there are some ways to cheat. However, if you do so, you're not really into the game's spirit ;) Why hasn't this game a GUI? It was developed for the Create Mac Games "Blind Contest". Is a graphical version of Keep Or Skip planned? Yes, but don't ask when ;). Is Keep Or Skip (no GUI) 0.8b freeware? Yes, it is. Keep Or Skip (no GUI version) 0.9b (C) 2004 Ludovico Rossi.
